RJM Access
Who uses Access and what do they use it for?
Access is used by individuals, small companies and large businesses.
Large businesses use it in a support role to allow information from their main systems to be selected, investigated or presented. This generally provides a quicker result than reporting direct from those systems.
It is also a good way for larger companies to trial procedures before committing to them. Business practices can be improved by "what if" and "what would" scenarios.
Non-mainstream activities are also commonly handled in this way, for instance machine run rates or test result analysis.
Small to medium sized enterprises use Access to hold, create and investigate information where a full package solution is too expensive or complex to be used. Sometimes it is used in the same way that large businesses use it or maybe just to speed up note taking.
Individuals use Access for tracking, scheduling, addressing, cataloguing and indexing. Personalised solutions for personal, club and hobby situations.
Access can interface with other applications, for instance to create email. Access is used behind web pages to supply dynamic content on intranets and the internet.
The following give you an idea of some possible applications. We can make one of these or one of your own work for you.
